Who is managing my finances..

I am in software engineering and i don't know why everybody has this notion that our community is very bad when it comes to manage our finances. But how true is that. it is 100% truth and nothing else..let's accept the truth that had not there be a 80c(1,00,000 investment thing), we would not be investing even 100 rupees. But i am pretty sure that none of us knows where we are investing our hard earned(..yeah right ;-)) money. At least I wasn't aware of.. But let me tell you this is not a rocket science and we just have to follow few basic things to make sure al least we are getting something out of our investment..Finally the common sense has prevailed and here are my findings..
